The Kanchanaburi Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) participated in the first extraordinary meeting of the Kanchanaburi Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council for the year 2026.

On June 23, 2026, Mr. Thien Phibulsawat, Director of the Water Resources Conservation Division (WRCD), assigned Mr. Kulawat Kaewkao, a Senior Environmental Specialist, to represent the WRCD. He was accompanied by Mr. Wichien Thongbua, Director of Water Resources Conservation Section 1, Surat Thani, Regional Water Resources Office 10, a representative from the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI), and the Chairman of the Khantulee Peat Swamp Committee, to attend the first extraordinary meeting of the Khantulee Subdistrict Administrative Organization Council for the year 2026. The meeting was held at the Khantulee Subdistrict Administrative Organization meeting room in Surat Thani Province. Progress on the agenda item concerning the registration of the Khantulee Peat Swamp as an Internationally Important Wetland (Ramsar Site) was presented to the council. The meeting unanimously approved the proposal, and the WRCD will proceed with the relevant procedures.
